300 Watt (150w + 150w) Hid Flood Lamp The 300 watt underwater lamp consists of two 150w Hid bulbs which can emit 5 times the amount of light as an equivalent wattage quartz halogen lamp.
The Dual Electronic Ballast System has the main advantage in physical size and also energy saving ; using 5-12% less energy than magnetic HID ballasts. Electronic ballasts are also energy efficient with a 99.9% power factor. With a soft starting operation, the electronic ballast system increases bulb life and reduces lumen depreciation.
The light is for use in both air and underwater and is available in an option of 110v AC or 240v AC supply.
Safety
The bulbs are driven by separate circuits within the surface control box. In the unlikely situation that one unit should fail, you will have the second light available for illumination. The unit is not only protected by a quartz glass enclosure which has a zero coefficient of expansion, but there is also fitted a stainless steel grill for maximum effectiveness against impact or collision. This has obvious time and money savings.
