ROV-A-CAM Autonomous Crawler Vehicle
RSL have developed the ROV-A-CAM autonomous vehicle
for use in confined spaces where an umbilical-fed system
would become entangled.
The unit is basically a remotely operated taxi capable
of having a range of sensors attached.
Control signals are by RF and the video signals are
fed back to the operator by a state-of-the-art microwave
system.
The ROV-A-CAM can be customised for a range of tasks
from conducting surveys of hazardous areas to gathering
samples and, because of it’s skid steer track
system, the unit is extremely manoeuvrable in confined
areas.
The ROV-A-CAM autonomous vehicle is available in a range
of sizes from 200mm long upwards.
